Each puzzle card has two pieces – one with a picture of an animal and the other with the word that names the animal. The goal is to match the picture of the animal with the corresponding word. For example, if one piece shows a picture of a cat, the matching piece will have the word "cat" written on it. Themes include common objects that the participant can easily recognize and name, familiar animals, which are often appealing and easy to identify, and simple pictures of flowers, trees, or other natural elements.
