Matching Football Legends to Their Teams

Purpose:
This activity promotes cognitive stimulation, memory recall, and social engagement by inviting participants to match iconic football players with the teams they’re most associated with.

Materials Needed:

• 10 large-print cards with player names (e.g., Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning)
• 10 matching cards with team logos or names (e.g., Patriots, 49ers, Colts)
• Optional: laminated cards for tactile interaction

How to Set Up:

1. Lay out the player cards and team cards separately on a table or board.
2. Encourage participants to pick a player card and find the matching team.
3. Offer gentle prompts or clues if needed (e.g., “He wore #12 and won 7 Super Bowls”).
4. Celebrate correct matches with brief stories or fun facts to spark conversation.
