Five‑Width Screw Board Activity
This activity uses a wooden board fitted with five screws and nuts of different widths, offering a simple, hands‑on task that feels familiar and purposeful for dementia residents. As a caregiver, you’ll guide the resident to explore each screw at their own pace, encouraging them to notice the size differences and choose which one they’d like to work with first.
Using the Montessori approach, you present the board slowly and clearly, demonstrating one screw with calm, intentional movements. Then you invite the resident to try, allowing them to lead the experience. The action of twisting each screw strengthens hand muscles, supports fine‑motor coordination, and provides a sense of accomplishment as each screw is secured into place.
We have 5 Board Activity for purchase. Shipping is NOT included in the price.
